The global market for Additive Manufacturing, including 3D-print, materials and services is expected to grow from app. 6 bn USD in 2015 to a whopping 50 bn USD in 2025. The goal of Danish AM Hub is to change the way we traditionally understand the concept of production by promoting the use of newer and more sustainable production technologies such as additive manufacturing and 3d printing – in business and in a wider Danish context.

In spring 2018, Danish AM Hub moved into their new office and exhibition space in an old factory in Copenhagen. They needed a complete re-design of the space, including a framework for exhibiting additive manufacturing products, business models and technologies.

We designed a modular system of fixed and mobile furniture, enabling AM Hub to continually change the exhibition and event space. We also created an interactive exhibition system, Social Screen, allowing visitors to activate content related to an exhibited object and watch it on the large, central screen. Additionally, we designed a series of posters printed on different materials explaining the history, current state and future potential of AM.

As partner and project manager at Kollision, Thomas managed a design team designing fixed and mobile furniture, posters, graphical design, developing content and designing and developing a bespoke Social Screen Exhibition System. The project was developed as a turnkey contract on time and on budget.
