A third of all food produced globally is either lost or wasted along the food chain from production to consumption. Roughly, this translates into agricultural crops from an area the size of China. In Denmark, we’ve made prevention of food waste a national priority that involves all of society. Our aim is to at least reach UN SDG 12.3: “By 2030, halve per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reduce food losses along production and supply chains, including post-harvest losses.”

The publication “The Value of Food” aims to share Danish initiatives to prevent food waste and food loss while promoting Danish knowledge and best practices on the international market. The publication is targeted primarily at international decision makers within both public and private sectors and will be used at trade fairs, delegation visits and public-private export-pushes.

As partner and project manager at Kollision, Thomas Fabian Delman handled concept development, copywriting and editing while Oddfischlein (now Walk Agency) was responsible for graphical design and layout. Johanne Birn was technical consultant and responsible for selection of the case material.
